The BodyWorlds attraction in Amsterdam is an amazing place to learn about the human body. I visited the BodyWorlds exhibition March 2018 and found it to be a fascinating insight into the human body.
It’s not for the faint-hearted as the bodies and real! They have all been preserved using a clever plastic technique then cut up and dissected allowing you to see everything in spectacular real-life detail.
The exhibition is quite large and divided into 6 different floors. Each display featuring different areas of the human body along with many interesting and eye-opening facts.
Bodyworlds is a strange place to visit, you can’t get your head around the fact these are real people on display! It’s a very weird feeling that plays with your mind and you cannot help but wonder who they were and how they ended up here.
If you’re planning on visiting Amsterdam Bodyworlds should be on your list of places to see.
If you want to know more about the person who created this exhibition and how the bodies are preserved google “Dr Gunther von Hagens” or take a look at the technique he uses here
Here are some photos of what I saw at the exhibition.
